But do keep your eyes open for this series “Quilts of Love…Every Quilt has A Story”! You can tell that it’s part of the SERIES because of the little red heart in the box on the top right hand side.  AND you can find the available books HERE…and man there are a ton of them!!  Lucky US!!

So keep on reading…and keep on quilting!

Yesterday I was feeling the LOVE from Moda…I caught the love bug from their Moda LOVE Blog Tour.  All of the designers were promoting their fabrics by making the same sweet quilt…I went to Jan Patek’s blog and there she was whipping up her quilt in her newest fabric ‘Castlewood’…LOVE the fabric but of course I didn’t have any!  All I needed was a charm pack…so I pulled open my Charm Drawer and low and behold there was a Jan Patek charm pack called ‘Harmony’!  Remember that fabric line?  It’s several years old…an oldie but a goodie…and it had aged nicely…and it was TIME to pop the cork!

In no time I had this all assembled ready for the applique!  Jan put the sweetest birds and berries on hers!  Sometimes quilting is like that…inspiration hits you and you have to just GO WITH IT!  Don’t fight it…just ENJOY!!  And enjoy I did!!

Have a berry sunny Sunday and Happy Quilting!~P

  2. That little quilt worked up fast, and it is so cute. I thought about making the larger size with a much coveted Bliss layer cake. However, I also have a Denyse Schmidt Chicopee charm pack that would be so easy to make in the smaller quilt such as yours. No applique for me, though.
